Premier || Queues & Matchmaking

To queue for Premier matches, click the "Play" button under the Premier Hub or use the general client navigation. Both options will take you to the lobby. When the queue window is open, you can queue up as soon as you have your party together. It's always best to queue as early in the weekly window as possible, as waiting until the last minute may result in not being able to find a match.

Queue Windows

Queue windows are unique to each zone and scheduled for match days or tournament days in the evening, according to your local time zone. Most Weekly matches occur around 7 PM local time, but this can vary between 7-9 PM. Check your Premier Hub for your exact queue windows.

The Matchmaking system is designed to find opponents that are similar in skill level to provide a fair and competitive experience. This means that you will only be matched against teams within your division, ensuring a consistent range of team MMR thresholds within your team's Division.

The schedule on the Premier Hub shows the queue window for your zone, and you can only queue during these windows.

You should be able to find an opponent within 8 minutes, but please stay put if it takes longer—re-queuing will only increase the total time your team will wait in queue.

You can queue up anytime within the one-hour window, and we'll try to find you a match. Queuing early in the window is recommended to avoid not finding a match at the last minute. The complete schedule will appear in your Team Hub when Premier launches in the client. You can expect to see at least two evenings per week in your local time zone for Weekly matches and playoffs on the last day of the Stage.

Matchmaking

Your team will only face other teams within your division and zone. Additionally, Weekly matches have rematch protection, so you won't be paired against a team you've already played in the current Stage unless you're in queue for 5+ minutes. Tournament matches do not have this protection.

Match Not Found

While it is highly unlikely that your team never finds a match, there may be rare instances where your team is literally the only team in the queue. However, even if you exceed the max expected wait time (8 minutes), please stay in the queue as you should get matched against the next team that joins. As mentioned above, queuing early will minimize the chance of this happening.
