VALORANT's Replay feature allows you to watch and analyze your past games, and it's available globally in all regions.
How do I find & watch a replay?
After you finish playing your match, look for the "Download" button in the upper-left corner of the post-game screen. You can also download the replay directly from your match history.
Once the replay is downloaded, the icon changes from "Download" to "Play". Click it to launch. Replays can only be played directly from the client.
How long do Replays last?
Replays are only available for the duration of a patch cycle and expire once the game is updated. For instance, if you played a match on patch 11.06, you can watch that replay until patch 11.07 is released.
Additionally, they get deleted after 21 days.
Where are replays stored and how do I delete them?
Replays you download are stored locally on your computer and will remain there unless you delete them manually. Over time, these files may take up storage space.
You can manage them in two ways:
- From the client
If the match is still visible in your match history, use the replay controls to delete it directly. - Manually from your files
If the match is no longer available in match history, you’ll need to delete the replay file manually from the /demo/ folder using your file explorer.
Why can't I watch replays from previous patches?
Since some of the fundamental mechanics behind VALORANT can and often do change in small ways with each patch, old replays simply aren't compatible with different, newer versions of the game.
Can I watch replays on Console?
Not yet! They will be available on Console starting from Patch 11.10.
Can I watch my friends’ replays?
Yes! You can now download and view replays from your Riot friends’ match histories directly from the client.
Just head to your friend’s profile, open their match history, and hit "Download" on an eligible match—same as you would for your own games.
Can I share replays with friends or upload them?
No—replays are saved locally on your PC and can’t be viewed on other clients or platforms.
However, you can view your friends’ replays by downloading them directly through their match history (if available).
Is the in-game chat included on the replay?
Nope, replays only show gameplay.
What matches are eligible for replays?
Replays are available for games played in Unrated, Competitive, Premier modes. In Custom matches, Swiftplay and Standard modes are supported as well.
Will replays work for Custom games?
Nope, Custom matches don't support replays at the moment, since there are many ways to set them up.
I encountered bad behavior/trolling while playing. Can I send the replay to Player Support as a report?
No need! If you come across trolling, intentional feeding, or bad behavior, just report it after the game as usual. Our behavioral systems will handle it from there!
Additional Pro Tips
Once you're in the replay, look for a panel in the middle with navigation options to scrub through the footage. The Navigation Bar includes features such as play/stop, forward/backward by 5 seconds, adjusting playback speed, and even highlights of your amazing headshots!
You can customize what is visible on the timeline by clicking the gear icon on the right side of the Navigation Bar.
Shortcuts
Knowing the right hotkeys makes reviewing your replay a breeze. Here are some of the most important ones you'll likely use the most:

- Left arrow for rewinding the footage by 5 seconds.
- Right arrow for skipping forward 5 seconds.
- Clicking [V] toggles the Camera Mode
